    I know you're probably sick of hearing about the "dangers of the Swine Flu. So how about some GOOD NEWS on the subject?

    The World Health Organization (WHO) just released a statement saying that it has not detected any mutation which would make the H1N1 (a.k.a Swine Flu) virus any more dangerous than before. "It is not causing more severe illness than before", says WHO spokesman Gerory Hartl. They further go on to say "There have been no changes in the behavior of the virus." So there's a bit of good news for you!

    Preventing the Swine Flu

    Personally, I am more afraid of the risks associated with the Swine Flu shot than actually getting the swine flu. So I don't plan on getting the shot. But that's only my opinion and you will have to do your own homework on the safety and side effects of getting a swine flu shot and make your own decision.

    I am taking a proactive approach and I am making healthy choices in my diet and lifestyle to strengthen and assist my body to fight the Swine Flu. I hope you'll be making your health a priority too. This is my plan for preventing the swine flu:

    USE COMMON SENSE AND DON'T PANIC!

    Fear and worry are not healthy choices for your well-being and have been proven to lower your immune responses.

    BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM. Your body was designed to fight viruses and it can fight the swine flu too!

    Tips for boosting your immune system include:

  • Eating healthy foods, colorful fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Drink plenty of purified water; experts recommend one-half your body weight in ounces.
  • Get your rest; your body repairs and regenerates itself while you sleep
  • Keep your colon moving everyday so harmful microbes can be flushed out of your system before they get a stronghold
  • Keep your intestinal tract healthy with yogurt, kefir or other immune-boosting probiotic foods.
  • Avoid foods & beverages that deplete your immune system like soda and refined sugars.
  • Supplements To Boost Your Immune System

  • Vitamin D3 especially when you can't get 15 minutes of daily sunshine exposure.
  • Bifidophilus Flora Force to increase the friendly bacteria (probiotics)that help to boost your immune system.
