Fun Exercise Health Ideas
Anyone Can Do!

Good exercise health involves any type of regular physical activity.

And if you enjoy what you're doing, you're more likely to stick with it. Planning some physical activity is definitely a healthy choice, but think outside the gym.

Below are some fun exercise ideas that anyone can do.

Benefits To Exercise

  • Prevents chronic disease
  • Stress buster, more relaxed & less anxiety & depression
  • You'll look better, have more confidence & self esteem
  • Controls your weight
  • Improves Your Sleep
  • Strengthens bones, lungs & heart
  • Lowers cholesterol
  • Boosts your immune system
  • Good exercise health doesn't mean you have to work out at the gym or with equipment. For many people this just isn't an option due to the price of membership, getting a babysitter, lack of time or the intimidation of working out in front of others.

If time is the problem and you're so over-extended that your exercise health is taking a back seat, then you may want to consider re-prioritizing a few things. See where you can cut something out or do less of it. Until you're able to free up some time, learn how to tone and burn more calories as you go about your daily activities.

    Exercise Can Be Fun

Do What You Like – Any activity you add to your day should be fun. This is important for a couple reasons. First, if you enjoy what you're doing, you're more apt to keep it going. Second, it's beneficial for the mind as well. When you're having a good time, laughing and smiling, that great feeling stays with you long after the fun has ended.

Get Your Boogie On – Just about everyone has at least one favorite song that they can move to. Dancing or any other physical movement set to music will benefit you physically and it will increase motivation as well. Also, slower tunes or music with natural sounds is a great way to relax while doing some simple stretching exercises as well. Ballroom dancing is my personal favorite! Many communities offer classes in the evenings.

Be The Tortoise – Just as the rabbit lost the race, look to the tortoise for the lesson. Take it slow when beginning an activity, but make sure to stay consistent. Just start moving every day whether it's a walk, playing a sport, lifting some small dumbells or going to the park. Try new things and have some variety, you don't have to do the same thing everyday. The rabbit's method of extreme workouts once in a while, can actually harm you physically as well as harm your chances of developing consistent benefits.

Walk It Out – Walking is one of the best types of physical activity a person can do. No time? Get creative and find ways to sneak it in. Park way out in the lot and walk further to the front door of the store, work breaks are a great time to get out of the office and walk a couple blocks or around the building or the parking lot. This is also a great way to clear your mind as well, which will help you to be more productive during the day.

Have Play Dates – Getting together with friends to have some fun is an awesome mood and mind lifter, as well as a perfect motivator for getting fit. Plan to meet at the mall to do some walking, or call some other parents to meet you at the park. When you have another person or a group waiting for you to come have fun, it makes it hard to resist.

All In The Family – Kids are energy magnets. So why not take a charge from their batteries? Get out and play some catch or take a nature walk. Just about any fun outside event with kids and family is a good way to have fun and get in shape too. This is also a great way to connect and get some "family time" as well. You won't even feel like your working on your exercise health.

We're all busy but we have to make exercise health a priority because without it, we increase our risks for getting cancer, diabetes, obesity, and many other diseases. If you can achieve benefits with minimal physical activity, just imagine what a regular program can do for your body. If you want to lose some weight, check out our weight loss tips.
