Is A Swine Flu Shot
Really The Answer?

are vaccines effective?

You'll have to decide if getting a Swine flu shot is a healthy choice long before you get any swine flu symptoms.

A Swine flu vaccine may not be the answer. Looking back to the 1918 epidemic might just change your thoughts about getting the Swine flu vaccine.

Most people, especially our government, are hoping a swine flu shot will prevent a swine flu epidemic, However, as Dr. Pedersen explains, the influenza virus is just not that predictable.

Preparing the swine flu vaccine takes months.

So the virus could have mutated into a very different strain by the time the vaccine is released.

Dr. Pedersen brings up these other points about the swine flu shot:

  • Flu shots don't cover all the strains
  • They don't adapt to the daily mutations that take placeThey can cause seriouse side effects
  • They can cause serious disability or death

Are We Are Repeating History?

  • The bird flu vaccine was developed in 2008.
  •  It was tested in 200 human subjects. It killed 26 of the 200 human subjects (again, this was considered an acceptable loss).
  • The Louis Pasteur Institute in France was contracted again to produce the bird flu vaccine.
  •  It was opposed, but still the US military made it mandatory for soldiers to receive the vaccination early this year.

Despite opposition, the bird flu vaccination was given Are we repeating history by creating the perfect viral storm?

Why Drugs Don't Always Work

The Tamiflu drug can work against influenza but:

  • It only works for two weeks which means it can't be used for prevention; so you must wait until you have the disease to start using Tamiflu.
  •  Tamiflu must be administered within the first 48 hours for maximum drug benefits.
  • The problem is, most people are contagious one day before they demonstrate symptoms.

People are not able to differentiate between the Swine Flu and the "normal" flu because the symptoms are so similar.

The swine flu must be sampled and sent to the CDC for chemical evaluation to determine if it is truly the Swine Flu.

This process alone takes about two days. By that time, you have missed your 48 hour window of opportunity for the Tamiflu drug.

If the swine flu shot and/or swine flu vaccine doesn't appeal to you because of the significant risks, don't panic! There are other options that are completely safe.
